Happy Birthday Suzy! Have a great day ;)
We were told a four letter word today!.... HOME!
I can't believe it, it seems to have jumped up really quickly which sounds ridiculous but here it is. We are booked in the Parenting Unit next week (May 23rd)to see how we go on our own without monitors and hopefully no oxygen etc all being well. We go in early on Friday after Niamhs next(and hopefully final) eye test and then stay two nights and come home on Sunday May 25th. I cant wait, it will seem so strange at first though!
Niamh is getting her immunisations tomorrow morning (her two month ones lol) She doesnt seem big enough, she is so tiny. I will be there with her and give her a breast feed after. She is so good now, she hasnt had a brady with me for days and Im more confident with her too. Exciting stuff!! Who would have thought we would get this far?!! Im thrilled, clever little princess xxx

Aww Fantastic news!
I am SO glad to hear she's not far off home now. That is just so exciting. So happy for you all :)
Will you keep the blog going after she's home (fingers crossed u do, I love hearing about precious Niamh)
Hi Cass ;) Ill try and keep it updated but it might not be everyday, not sure I can keep up the pace lol!
I simply cannot get over how far you have come. Just over 3 months ago everyone was worried she was too tiny, and now to be told you will be home soon is just 100% amazing.
You have a very special little girl there, that has touched so many. I know I have popped in every day or two to check on her. Through the internet I have felt just a tiny bit of the ups and downs you have felt, and I thank you for letting me share that journey.
It has helped us realise how lucky we are, and how strong people can be when they need to be.
I am sure she will continue to amaze everyone with her dvelopment. There will be days that are hard, and there will be bumps in the road, but you and she have both proven you can be fighters!
She has already grown to be a beautiful, chubby little girl. I imagine that in just a short time, no one would ever know she was born only half cooked. lol
Congratulate yourself and your family. You are nearly there and you will continue growing with your baby girl every day.
Brooke xoxo
What a lovely belated Mothers' Day present!
I have major goosebumps! That is just extraordinary news.
I have followed your blog since day 1 and just cannot get over Niamh's progress - I have said on here before she is an inspiration! And you Siobhan are an amazing woman. The mere thought of what you have been through with your family, your daily trips to the hospital, the emotional rollercoaster you have been riding, is beyond comprehension for most of us. Your strength is truly admirable and obviously genetic!! Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
I cannot wait to read of Niamh's homecoming. Best wishes to all of you in the lead up to that very special day - Jo xx (EB member)
Awesome News!! good luck with all the preparations to be made between now and hometime....Go the Royle's!
Reading your latest blog has bought tears to my eyes, I have been following your story since you started this blog, My son and I jump on for the latest updates and he (only 4 years old) loves to see her photos, and says she is a very cute baby!
