Friday 21st March

I just phoned for an update on Niamh. She has had a pretty stable night, just her usual ups and downs. She has put on 50g! What a trooper, although I can't help feeling she is teasing us by teetering on the edge of the Kilo mark! She had a diuretic yesterday as she has some swelling in her feet, hands and her little girly bits. They have gone down a bit but its still there. She is doing all the right things though, so it should only be a matter of time. We will go and see her later. Its funny how you have commented on how big she looked yesterday, I thought exactly the same and kept saying it to all the nurses!

WOOHOO!!! TUBES COMING OUT!

I just received a call from one of Niamh's doctors and she is going on CPAP in 30 minutes! Im so stupidly excited its not funny. I really hope this time is more successful, she is so much more ready than she was so fingers crossed! They have high hopes for her :)

Niamh is doing really well so far, she looked really comfortable :)

Oh WOW! She is really filling out now! Good job baby girl, you're doing great!

Here's hoping that she goes ok with the ventilation. As you said, she is so much more ready this time. You're right, she DOES look really comfortable.

I hope the diuretic helped her too..

Happy Easter Bon, Anthony, Bailey & Naimh!

Fabulous pics Bon, I am so happy she is doing so well. I too think she is looking sooooooooooo much bigger now and am amazed at how much she is stacking on!

Keeping every body part crossed that CPAP will work and that Niamh keeps getting stronger each day.

Sending big hugs across the border to you all.
Cheers,
Leoni

Hi Soibhan,
I know we havent been in touch for absolutely yonks, but I saw Sisca the other day, and she told me that you had had a premature little baby and told me what you had been going through.
She told me she had been reading it, but didnt know the blog address there and then, but something this morning made me do a google search and I just put in your name and the word blog and i found it!
I have just spent the last hour or so reading every single blog aboout your little angel- Well done for all your positive thoughts, and staying strong, she is doing so well.
In the last picture she DOES look bigger, and Im sure she will continue to grow.
Hope she continues to do well with breathing without the ventilation, I shall be checking in now to see her progress.

Take Care, and Happy Easter to you and Tony and Bailey.
